Membership Benefits
A membership in the Swedish–American Historical Society means that you can learn about the immigration experience through the experiences of Swedish–Americans. When you become a member of the Society, you join the ranks of loyal and dedicated members that help us fulfill our mission of studying the Swedish emigration and the history and culture of the Swedes in North America, through research, publications, programs, and archives.
One of the most valued benefits of membership in the Swedish–American Historical Society has been receiving the Swedish-American Historical Quarterly. Now, after 74 years and 296 continuous issues, the SAHQ is becoming an annual journal with a new name: Swedish-American Studies. Published in cooperation with the University of Minnesota Press and with the same yearly amount of quality content, it will appear in the fall of each year. Full of historic illustrations and substantial articles by researchers, noted authors, and leading academics, Swedish–American Studies will document and interpret the Swedish-American presence in North America. Member benefits will be enhanced with an expanded and improved biannual newsletter and various program opportunities throughout the year.
